The Reinforcement Zone supports children and families across the Treasure Coast through individualized ABA services in home, school, and community settings. Our work centers on meaningful skills, family collaboration, professional ethics, and respect for each child.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

A BCBA is a graduate-level professional certified in behavior analysis who can practice independently and supervise others delivering behavior-analytic services. In an ABA team, the BCBA leads clinical assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing review of care.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Assessing strengths, support needs, and the reasons behaviors occur.

  • Developing individualized treatment plans with meaningful, measurable goals.

  • Reviewing progress data and adjusting teaching and support strategies.

  • Providing caregiver guidance and collaborating with families, schools, and other providers as appropriate.

  • Supervising and supporting RBTs, reviewing documentation, and maintaining professional and ethical standards.

Active BCBA certification and any other applicable credentials would be reviewed for a future BCBA position. Supervision responsibilities must be consistent with BACB requirements.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

An RBT is a certified paraprofessional who helps deliver behavior-analytic services under close, ongoing supervision. RBTs provide direct support using the individualized plan developed and overseen by the BCBA.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Implementing teaching and behavior-support strategies as directed by the supervising BCBA.

  • Helping children practice communication, social, play, and daily living skills during sessions.

  • Recording session data and completing accurate, timely documentation.

  • Communicating observations, questions, and concerns to the supervisor.

  • Protecting confidentiality, maintaining professional boundaries, and participating in supervision and training.

RBTs do not independently assess clients, design treatment plans, or make clinical treatment changes. Active certification and any other role-specific requirements would be reviewed if a future opening is posted.

Learn more about certification through the BACB’s BCBA information and RBT information.
